Soooooooooooooooooo... What's going on with me? Not much...unless you count my FIRST singing audition! Yes, I'm quite excited ^^ It's on the 17th at 7pm and I can not wait! It's an audition to be one of the choir to sing "Seasons of Love" from the musical 'Rent' at a World AIDS Day vigil on December 1st. I'm going to the vigil whether I get the part or not, but I would be honored to be able to honor not only the brave people who live with AIDS and HIV every day, making the most out of their lives despite the disease, but also the briliant Jonathan Larson whom was taken from this world all to soon. In case you don't know, Jonathan Larson is the one who wrote 'Rent' among other things that I'm sorry to say I'm unfamiliar with. He was a genius at writing and composing and I wish I could have had the pleasure of meeting him. 'Rent' is my all-time favorite movie. I've seen it 11 times and counting XD If I get it, my mom or brother will tape the performance so I can post on my youtube as my first video.
Whenever I start to feel nervous and start thinking "there's no way I'm going to get this" or "nothing like this ever happens to me" or "I try so hard, but every time someone else gets what I worked for and wanted" I listen to "Change" by Taylor Swift and it makes me feel better. It talks about how you feel defeated when everyone else gets what you want every time you try for something, but how you have to keep going and not give up and one day it'll happen for you and you'll get what you've worked hard for.
[link] There's a link to the video with lyrics at youtube. It's a very inspiring song.
In other me related news, not that many people care XD My mom and I are rejoining our church which we left ten years ago when we moved, but never started back to when we moved back. I'm being confirmed next month and I hope to join choir. I look forward to both. Our first mass back is this Sunday and I can't wait ^^
Psycho side note! (I got that tearm from one of my friends ^^) I finally got a cadet hat! I've wanted one for a while and my lovely mom bought it for me. I love my mom...and my cadet hat ^^
